Flood Relief Continues in Pakistan
Even as Samaritan’s Purse sent a cargo jet loaded with 90 tons of relief supplies to North Korea, we were still working through local Christian partners to help people suffering in the aftermath of devastating floods in Pakistan.
Monsoons have dumped record amounts of rain since the middle of July, creating the worst floods in at least 80 years. Samaritan’s Purse is working through six Pakistani churches and Christian organizations in three regions to provide physical relief to thousands of families. Our partners are distributing grains and other staple foods to people who have seen their homes and everything they own washed away by the raging waters.
We also are providing clothes and hygiene items to families, and shoes to children.
