The Regional Director is responsible for leading the regional staff in developing and implementing plans toward furthering the ministry of Operation Christmas Child in the Lower Midwest, specifically:
• Supervising staff

• Developing an annual ministry plan that meets goals and strategies in the areas of office health, prayer, volunteer relations, church relations, community relations, media relations, logistics and operations;
• Recruiting, selecting, equipping (training), leading, and developing year-round leader volunteers according to the High Impact model of volunteer ministry;
• Serving on the management team for the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center as assigned for four to six weeks in November and December.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in volunteer leadership and management, strong written and verbal communications skills, and ability to motivate and lead volunteer teams in implementing program goals including: recruiting and retaining participation in the program through churches and community groups, facilitating prayer support, building media awareness, and coordinating a regional volunteer run logistics network to collect gifts for the neediest children worldwide.
Responsibilities include travel throughout the Lower Midwest Region. Yearly travel averages 80 days/nights per year. Bachelor’s Degree with five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Various locations - U.S. - We have an incredible ministry and professional opportunity for several Media Relations Associates to provide media and promotional support for the Media & Community Relations team of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) within one of our 13 U.S. regional offices. Our Media Relations Associates serve as public relations coordinators within their assigned region. Church Relations Associate, Operation Christmas Child (1131)
Various U.S. Locations - We are looking for a few passionate and excited Church Relations Associates to provide support for Operation Christmas Child church relationship initiatives throughout the high season of our church relations efforts. These full-time, temporary Associate positions represent an invaluable resource to staff and volunteers in the region as those who strengthen relationships with past and current Operation Christmas Child (OCC) partner churches.
Essential to this role is a commitment to the mission of OCC and daily emphasis on telephone contact as the primary means of relationship development. Other duties include support of Field Office staff and Operation Christmas Child volunteers in their contact with and service to churches, while regularly representing the ministry of OCC in communication with churches of many different denominations.
Solid organizational skills and clarity and cordiality in all forms of communication (especially telephone and email) are required. The Assistant Director, Brand Development/Operation Christmas Child (OCC) and “The Greatest Journey” (TGJ) Discipleship Program will maintain, protect, and further develop the brand of Operation Christmas Child. The Assistant Director will have input into all OCC brand and marketing related initiatives and for TGJ funding growth potential, with a focus on messaging quality control, brand journalism and brand protection. Responsibilities include assisting with general correspondence, scheduling appointments and meetings, arranging travel, requesting expense reimbursements, creating a variety of monthly reports, and facilitating conference arrangements for a yearly, in-field training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. This position requires a fluency in English. At least three years of experience in a professional administrative capacity is strongly preferred. Knowledge of French is preferred.
This position will travel for 1 week during the 6 month service.
