Samaritan's Purse Sends Disaster Relief Unit, Staff and Supplies to Dallas Following Devastating Tornadoes<\/h1>\r\n BOONE, N.C., Oct. 22, 2019<\/span>\r\n \r\n

Samaritan\u2019s Purse is providing critical relief to Dallas, Texas families after three tornadoes simultaneously struck the community\u2014leaving a 16-mile path of debris and destroying hundreds of homes. After helping more than 160 families return home following Tropical Storm Imelda, a disaster relief unit stocked with tools and relief supplies was deployed to the affected area to aid impacted families.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

“Hundreds of Dallas families lost their homes and years of precious memories in a matter of seconds,”<\/em> dijo Franklin Graham<\/a>, president and CEO of Samaritan's Purse. “Please pray for our teams on the ground as they help families recover while reminding them of the true hope of Jesus Christ.”<\/em><\/p>\r\n \r\n

Gateway Church Dallas, pastored by founding lead senior pastor Robert Morris, is serving as a base of operations for volunteers to go out into hard-hit communities and help hurting families clear debris, remove downed trees, tarp roofs and salvage personal belongings. Local volunteers interested in serving their community are invited to attend a brief orientation at 7:30am or 12:30pm daily or call 469-584-1413 for more information. <\/p>\r\n \r\n
