Wonder-Working Power<\/h2>\r\n <\/header>\r\n

God changes lives in Alaska and Operation\r\n Heal Our Patriots begins a lifetime of caring for\r\n these couples.<\/h3>\r\n

Each planeload of military couples that landed at Samaritan\r\n Lodge Alaska this year brought with them profound pain and a\r\n longing for fresh hope. Days later, when the same planes\r\n departed, they carried out lighter hearts, stronger\r\n marriages, and lives changed by the Gospel of\r\n Jesus Christ. <\/p>\r\n

In 2023, we received 180 military couples at Samaritan Lodge\r\n Alaska. For 17 weeks, from May 28 to Sept. 22, wounded\r\n veterans and their spouses came for a once-in-a-lifetime\r\n experience of Biblically based marriage training at the edge\r\n of the Alaska wilderness.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

\r\n \"Samaritan's\r\n <\/figure>\r\n \r\n

Most important, they heard the powerful Gospel of the Lord\r\n Jesus Christ, which reconciles people to God and to each\r\n other. This year we praise God that 98 couples publicly\r\n renewed their marriage vows, 93 individuals received Jesus\r\n Christ as Lord and Savior, 27 rededicated their faith, and\r\n 105 were baptized in the glacier-fed waters of Lake Clark.\r\n They join the hundreds who have gone before them\r\n since 2012.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cIt is an honor to meet\r\n these couples and to see the numerous ways that God\r\n continues to work in their lives as we complete our\r\n 12th\r\n year of this program. Our wounded veterans have\r\n given\r\n their\r\n best to our nation, and God has been faithful this\r\n year\r\n to\r\n strengthen many marriages and to give individuals\r\n new\r\n life\r\n through the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ, I\r\n pray\r\n for\r\n each one of these\r\n American\r\n heroes and their families as they continue to grow\r\n together\r\n in faith.\u201d<\/p>\r\n
