Natural disasters can strike anytime, anywhere. Tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, floods, wildfires, and other disasters don’t discriminate. Men, women, and children from every walk of life can have their lives turned upside-down in an instant. Their needs are great and immediate: food and water, shelter and medical care, and a helping hand to start over again. Your prayers and support enable us to bring relief in Jesus' Name.
U.S. Disaster Relief
When a disaster strikes, it's urgent to get help fast to those affected. Suffering people can’t wait. That’s why Samaritan’s Purse responds immediately, quickly deploying our staff, vehicles—including tractor trailers filled with equipment and supplies—and an army of volunteers to help devastated homeowners. We tarp roofs, mud out houses, cut up downed trees, sift through ashes for personal belongings, and more, to help hurting people start down the road to recovery. More importantly, we share with them the hope found only in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and let them know that God loves them and hasn’t forgotten them.
International Disaster Relief
Samaritan’s Purse works around the world helping men, women, and children who are victims of war, poverty, disaster, disease, and famine. Receiving food, clean water, shelter, and medical care can mean the difference between life and death for families in crisis. We’ve responded to devastating earthquakes in Haiti, Ecuador, and Nepal; typhoons in the Philippines; catastrophic floods in Germany; and to large-scale refugee crises in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. We deployed our Emergency Field Hospital to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian and to Ukraine during bloody conflict. We also feed the hungry and displaced in Ethiopia, Colombia, and South Sudan.
