Hearts Healed in Jesus' Name
Children's Heart Project, a Samaritan's Purse program, provides life-changing heart surgeries to children every year in Jesus' Name.
Thousands of children around the world are born every year with congenital heart defects, and many of these children will not survive without medical and surgical intervention.
For many of these children, life-saving treatments are not available to them in their home country. This is why Samaritan's Purse started Children's Heart Project. For 27 years, Samaritan's Purse has arranged for critical congenital heart surgery for over 1,600 boys and girls from over a dozen countries.
"As a result of this program, many parents and children have received Jesus Christ as their Savior," said Samaritan's Purse President Franklin Graham. "All because of a simple act of love, caring for these children, and bringing them to where they can be treated successfully."
We bring these sick and suffering young people and caregivers to specialized hospitals in North America, the Caribbean, South Korea, and Spain where surgical teams provide them with a new chance at a healthy and longer life. The program also provides an opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel with loved ones. The impact has a ripple effect.
When a child is healed of a heart condition, it provides an open door for the whole family and their community back home to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
