About Face

Military couples begin a journey of healing during the 2018 Operation Heal Our Patriots summer season at Samaritan Lodge Alaska. Operation Heal Our Patriots—the Samaritan’s Purse project for military personnel wounded after 9/11 and their spouses—brings about 10 couples each week for 16 weeks in the summer to Samaritan Lodge for Biblically based marriage enrichment classes led by retired military chaplains. Couples also bond through activities such as wildlife viewing, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. View Gallery

A Time and Place to Heal

Some come to Samaritan Lodge as relatively recent converts who want to be baptized during their week of marriage enrichment in Alaska. Others are saved in Alaska and want to publicly profess that as soon as possible. View Gallery
