Samaritan’s Purse provides children in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, with a place to learn and grow in Jesus Christ.
For years, the National Police Church in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, had no dedicated space for children to learn and grow in Christ. Without classrooms of their own, they had little time to worship and study Scripture.

Children and families gather in the new Sunday school building in Bunia as the church dedicates a space just for boys and girls.
Samaritan’s Purse partnered with the church to construct a new Sunday school building with room created specifically for children to gather, learn, and be discipled each week. The space now is filled with songs, Bible teaching, prayer, and the joy of watching young believers take root in God’s Word. It reflects the church’s hope for the next generation and offers a place for them to grow in Christ.

“This room is not just a building with walls,” one young student said. “It’s a special place where we’ll learn God’s Word, sing, pray, and ask all our questions about God.”
Pray for the children who will use this Sunday school as they continue to grow in their faith and learn the Word of God.

The new building gives children a space to sit together to worship, learn, and grow in God’s Word each week.
