Samaritan’s Purse is flying a cargo load of trauma kits to Tel Aviv to equip first responders.

Trauma kits have been distributed to partners in areas farther from medical services. Franklin Graham was in Israel and dedicated the new ambulances on Jan. 23 to God and in honor of fallen Israeli medics.

Samaritan’s Purse 757 aircraft departed Greensboro, North Carolina, this morning headed for Tel Aviv with 1,000 Advanced Trauma Life Support kits onboard. Each kit on the Jan. 13 airlift contains more than 70 medical items designed to equip emergency response professionals in treating their fellow Israeli citizens. Among the included supplies in every package are a tourniquet, chest tube kit, suture kit, and intubation kit.

Our disaster relief specialists are partnering with Magen David Adom, the national emergency services agency; Sheba Medical Center, the largest healthcare system in Israel; and the Ministry of Health to make sure these supplies will be distributed to first responders located the furthest from hospitals or other emergency care. By reaching these outlying areas, ordinary citizens will have greater opportunity to receive life-saving care when they need it most.
Samaritan’s Purse will also provide each kit recipient with additional advanced life support training to allow for the most efficient use of the new medical supplies.

In addition to the supplies, we are also providing Magen David Adom with 21 ambulances—including eight that are armor-plated—to not only replace but grow their fleet of vehicles that was destroyed in the Oct. 7 attacks. A dedication ceremony for these new vehicles will be held later in January.

War is horrific, and innocent civilians are suffering,” he said. “Samaritan’s Purse is committed to helping families in need, and we are grateful to be able to support Magen David Adom with ambulances and these life-saving trauma kits.”
Our Disaster Assistance Response Team has been on the ground in Israel since early October supporting local communities and church partners. Many were displaced by the terrorist attacks. So far, we have met the emergency needs of civilians by providing 18,500 food boxes, nearly 4,000 hot meals, and more than 18,000 food vouchers to families in need.
Graham said, “Please join me in praying for peace in Israel.”
