Flying Over Africa for Christ

Samaritan’s Purse Mission Aviation Services delivers critical relief to the continent along with the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Samaritan’s Purse pilots and aircraft are bringing aid to underserved communities across Africa. They are vital in supporting our ongoing work in Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Liberia, among other locations. Whether they are dropping bags of much needed food, transporting patients from rural areas to our cleft lip and palate clinics, or performing any number of other relief tasks, the team undertakes every mission with the intent to further the Kingdom of God.

Our aviation program in Africa is essential to transport patients from rural areas to Samaritan’s Purse cleft lip and palate clinics.

“What we do in aviation affects nations,” said Matthew Olson, Samaritan’s Purse deputy director of Mission Aviation Services. “We bring them help, but most importantly, the Gospel.”

Samaritan’s Purse COO Edward Graham is grateful to God for this specialized arm of the ministry. “We’ve been blessed with great capability and assets. These are the Lord’s that He’s given us to go to places where no one else can get to—to use to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
