Samaritan's Purse continues to gift new homes to Hurricane Helene survivors nearly a year after the storm. Hear from one homeowner about how the Lord has provided in these difficult times.
Samaritan’s Purse continues to work throughout western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee after Hurricane Helene, replacing mobile homes lost in the catastrophic floodwaters that struck the region nearly a year ago.
Brenda Correa and her four children are the most recent recipients to unlock the doors to a brand-new, paid-in-full house provided by Samaritan’s Purse. While Brenda is overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of her new home, we praise God that she has also drawn closer to the Lord through the testimony and love of Samaritan’s Purse staff and volunteers.
“There are people that think that God doesn’t exist [but] I think He does; I believe He does,” Brenda said as she walked in her new home for the first time.

Brenda isn’t the only one to step into a new home: Samaritan’s Purse also replaced six other homes in her neighborhood as part of our ongoing Hurricane Helene relief efforts. This adds to the dozens of other homes, trailers, and vehicles we have already replaced across the region.
Pray that each household would honor the Lord as they continue to recover from the storm.
