During a special ceremony in January in Jerusalem, Franklin Graham met with Israeli leaders and with families of the fallen to dedicate 14 new ambulances provided by Samaritan’s Purse for the use of Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical services provider. Each vehicle was inscribed with an excerpt from Scripture and with the name of a Magen David Adom team member killed on or since the terror attacks of Oct. 7.

We have also pledged to provide eight additional armor-plated ambulances to Magen David Adom.

As medical personnel rushed to the aid of wounded Israelis in October they came under attack by Hamas terrorists.

“[They] went for the ambulances. They wanted to destroy them so that the Magen David Adom people wouldn’t be able to protect the lives of the injured,” Uri Shacham said, the chief of staff of Magen David Adom. “What a gift of life! Not only for Magen David Adom, but for the people of Israel. I want to thank Samaritan’s Purse and all of its supporters for being there with us at one of our darkest times.”

As these ambulances are now in use and rush toward danger, continue to pray for those impacted by this ongoing conflict. Pray for peace in the region and for the work of Samaritan’s Purse as we continue to come alongside hurting people.

Watch the video at top for more information and to see the ambulances in operation.
