God is truly working miracles in the lives of our veterans through Operation Heal Our Patriots.
Army Sergeant Ian Hunt and his wife Maria were desperate for healing and for change when they arrived in Alaska this year for Week 5 of the Operation Heal Our Patriots summer season.
There were moments during their time in Alaska that were filled with tears and turmoil, but God was at work in all of that. They were struggling but hopeful, and they experienced the healing power of Jesus Christ in their lives and marriage.
“I knew that only God could heal my husband,” Maria said. “I knew that if we could just get here I trusted in God that he would take care of my husband and in turn take care of our marriage.”
They were one of nearly 70 military couples so far who have joined us in Alaska this summer for a week of Biblically based marriage enrichment, breathtaking wilderness experiences, and, we pray, eternal transformation through the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The story of God’s work in the lives of these couples is still unfolding as their new journeys continue of commitment, faith, renewal, and letting go of past hurts. The wounds are profound, but God’s grace is more powerful.
