Samaritan’s Purse staff and volunteers are at work in McNairy County, Tennessee, where an EF3 tornado touched down on April 3 and killed five people. McNairy County, located two hours east of Memphis, endured 160 mph winds, which destroyed more than 100 houses and damaged over 200 others.

Our Disaster Relief Unit #6—a tractor-trailer loaded with tools and supplies—is equipping volunteers to serve hurting homeowners from our base of operations at Love and Truth Church, 440 US-64, Adamsville, Tennessee 38310.

More volunteers are needed. Learn about how you can serve in McNairy County.

Please pray for the families who lost loved ones to the storm. Pray also for those whose homes and belongings have been destroyed. Ask that they would experience God’s comfort as our teams serve in Jesus’ Name.

U.S. Disaster Relief A gift to U.S. Disaster Relief equips us to respond to catastrophes like Hurricane Helene and other natural disasters in our nation. Samaritan's Purse mobilizes and equips thousands of volunteers to provide emergency relief to survivors of floods, tornadoes, wildfires, and hurricanes. Wherever we go, we bring comfort and the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the aftermath of major storms, we often stay behind to rebuild houses for people with nowhere else to turn for help.
