Samaritan’s Purse is on the ground in Adamsville, Tennessee, where strong storms and straightline winds damaged 70 percent of communities in McNairy County in the western part of the state.

Volunteers are assisting homeowners, including a large number of elderly residents, whose homes and property have been damaged by large trees and debris. Our teams are busy cutting away downed trees, removing debris from yards and homes, and covering damaged roofs.

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains will be on hand throughout the community to provide emotional and spiritual support to hurting residents.

Our base of operations is Love & Truth Church in Adamsville.

Please pray for these hurting areas of Tennessee, for staff and volunteers, and for local churches as we serve in Jesus’ Name. For more information about the response, visit spvolunteer.org.

SUPPORT
U.S. Disaster Relief A gift to U.S. Disaster Relief equips us to respond to catastrophes like Hurricane Helene and other natural disasters in our nation. Samaritan's Purse mobilizes and equips thousands of volunteers to provide emergency relief to survivors of floods, tornadoes, wildfires, and hurricanes. Wherever we go, we bring comfort and the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the aftermath of major storms, we often stay behind to rebuild houses for people with nowhere else to turn for help.
