Teams are helping homeowners in Jesus’ Name, assisting homeowners with cleaning out their homes. Volunteers will remove ruined walls and flooring, take out waterlogged belongings, and help salvage precious valuables not claimed by the floods.
Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains are also going into communities to provide spiritual and emotional support to hurting residents.
The area was flooded in recent weeks after more than 2 feet of rainfall in 24 hours fell on south Florida, requiring evacuations and water rescues. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for the southeastern area of the Sunshine State.
Please pray for these suffering communities that God would comfort them with His presence and that many would come to know the hope of Jesus Christ in the midst of this crisis. Pray also for the volunteers and chaplains who will serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, pointing people to Him as they serve in His Name.
