Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are still busy tarping roofs, clearing debris, and mudding out homes after Hurricane Beryl swept across southeast Texas.
Two weeks have passed since Hurricane Beryl hit southeast Texas as a Category 1 hurricane, unleashing violent winds and torrential rains. The storm left widespread power outages and devastated communities in its wake.
Samaritan’s Purse quickly deployed a Disaster Relief unit—a tractor-trailer filled with relief supplies and equipment—and mobilized volunteer teams to help hurting homeowners in Brazoria County, Texas. We praise God that, so far, nine individuals have received Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior during this deployment.
Watch the video above to see how our volunteers are providing hope and peace to hurting homeowners in Jesus’ Name.
As thousands of families across southeast Texas recover from this hurricane, please pray for them and that many would embrace the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for our volunteer teams and staff as they work and bring comfort.
Samaritan’s Purse continues to respond to other areas hit by Beryl, including four island locations across the Caribbean. Our U.S. Disaster Relief teams are working across the country, too, in Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, and New Mexico.
