Thank you so much for your generous giving during National Collection Week!
Now that you have sent off your Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts with prayer, they are en route to boys and girls around the world.
The first stop in that journey is at one of our eight processing centers located across the United States. Here shoeboxes are inspected and prepared for international shipping.
Next they travel by plane, truck, or ship to more than 100 countries and territories where local churches distribute the boxes to children in need. As they are given out, the Gospel is shared through an evangelistic booklet called The Greatest Gift, available in 65 languages.
Many of the boys and girls then participate in The Greatest Journey, the 12-lesson discipleship program developed by Samaritan’s Purse to teach them to faithfully follow Christ and share Him with others.
All of these Gospel opportunities begin with a shoebox gift like yours.
Even if you weren't able to turn in a shoebox gift last week, it's not too late to send the gift of God's love to a child in need overseas by building a shoebox online. With a computer or mobile device, anyone can conveniently pack a personalized Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift by selecting gifts and toys and writing a note of encouragement. These shoeboxes go to children in some of the hardest-to-reach countries.
Whether you pack a shoebox in person or online, you are investing in God’s Kingdom!
