Responding to Myanmar’s Deadly Earthquake
Samaritan’s Purse has airlifted an Emergency Field Hospital and tons of other relief supplies to the affected area to serve those in desperate need.
Samaritan’s Purse recently sent two cargo plane loads of relief supplies to Myanmar to help earthquake survivors. Onboard these flights were an Emergency Field Hospital, water filtration systems, temporary shelter material, and other urgently needed items. Our Disaster Assistance Response Team is on the ground bringing aid to survivors and their families. The 60-bed field hospital is up and running and serving hundreds of patients in the capital of Naypyidaw.
Myanmar is reeling from the 7.7 earthquake that hit the country on March 28, claiming over 3,500 lives and injuring more than 5,000 others. A 6.4 magnitude aftershock was felt as far away as China and Vietnam.
Franklin Graham said, “Samaritan’s Purse is responding in Jesus’ Name to bring relief to those who are hurting. Please pray for all those affected and for our teams as they serve.”
