In Memory Of
Ann Rogers - McKinney, TX

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and grammy, Elizabeth “Ann” (Boone) Rogers entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2022, at the age of 76.

Ann was born October 17, 1946, in Corsicana to Allen and Ruth Boone. Since her father was in the Air Force, she and her younger sister Irene moved around in their younger years. Settling down in Wichita Falls for her teen years and early adult life, Ann attended Hirschi High School, where she was gym leader, and was Senior Beauty. She graduated in 1964.

She met her first husband, Ronnie London in high school. After graduation they married and had their only daughter, Michel Ann London. Many years later, she met B.C. Rogers, III, at bingo. The pair were married in Las Vegas in 1994, and were blessed with 28 years together.

Ann spent her whole life in the banking industry. She took numerous banking and financial courses throughout her career, and worked her way up to Vice President/Branch Manager at Legacy Texas Bank, where she retired in 2018. When she was not busy working, she enjoyed traveling. She visited her dad Allen Boone in Thailand with Billie Van Murphy, and went to Alaska with her husband B.C., her daughter Michel Ann and her son-in-law Richard. She was very close to Michel Ann, considering her to be her best friend, and visited her and her family many times in California. She made wonderful memories attending the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta with her friends Nova and Holly. She loved working on the chase crew for the balloons, as well as riding in them. She also enjoyed downhill skiing. After retirement, she loved walking around the lake with her husband and feeding the ducks.

A very honest woman, Ann was a Christian who accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. Every morning before her feet hit the ground, she would recite, Matthew 6:9-13, The Lord’s Prayer. “Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen."

Ann loved Jesus, her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Lizzy. She loved to crochet and even taught her granddaughters when they were young. She made afghans for all of her family and friends. Ann was fun, friendly, and a little feisty. She loved life and was loved by everyone that met her.

Ann leaves behind her husband of 28 years, B.C. Rogers, III; her daughter, Michel Ann Ford (Richard); her granddaughters, Jessica Papalii (PJ) and Casie Hillyer (Stephen); her great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Adrian, Aaron, and Amara Papalii and Carson, Braelynn, and Garrett Hillyer; her bonus grandchildren, Nadine Golden (Josh), Autumn Wall (Eddy), Joshua Ford (Hayley), and Nathan Ford; her bonus great-grandchildren Kodi, Kael, and Danielle Golden, Quinn and Elliotte Wall, and Alexandria Ford; her sister, Irene Witten (Bill); her nephew, Josh Allen Moore (Rose); her niece, Christa Glass (Kirk); along with many cousins, cherished friends, and her beloved cat Lizzy. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents Allen and Ruth Boone.

“Well done good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Lord.” Matthew 25:23

Memorial Services for Ann will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Corley Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel. Family will be receiving friends also on Saturday from 1:00 P.M until service time.
