Dana G. Vanni, 72, passed away April 3, 2024. Born November 11, 1951, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, to the late Ann DePompei and Paul Vanni, Dana was beloved by his family, and he will be dearly missed.
Dana was a man of faith with a firm belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as defined in John 14:6. He was member of the Church of God of Prophecy for thirty years, attended Cornerstone Chapel, and his final church home was Bethesda Baptist Church. Dana worked at USI for over a decade. He then worked at Schwebel Bakery for over three decades until his retirement. Dana was an avid reader and was fascinated by anything scientific. He had many causes that were important to him, including Samaritan’s Purse, Billy Graham Ministries, Tunnel to Towers, Christian Broadcasting Network, The Wounded Warrior Project and the NRA. Dana treasured his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Dana’s memory will be cherished by his children, Angela (Tom) Ols, Dante (Tania) Vanni, Joshua (Lisa) Vanni, John (Jennifer) Vanni, Samuel (Haley) Vanni, and Jeremy (Rachel) Vanni; and grandchildren, Olivia (Logan) Pentecost, John, Julia, Dante, Waylon, Colton, Raphael, Isabella, Elliot, George, David, Rosemary, and Joshua. Survived by former wife Deberah Mazala; and his brothers Eric (Darla) Vanni, and Jeff (Autumn) Vanni. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann DePompei and Paul Vanni.
Celebration of Life will be May 26, 2024, at Weymouth Country Club, 3946 Weymouth Road
Medina, Ohio, 44256. Calling hours at 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. Doors will open at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service begins at 2:30 p.m.
