Our beloved mother, Dorothy R. Weldon, 79, sadly passed away on May 24, 2023, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her, she is missed terribly. Dorothy lived her last 50 years in Keithville, Louisiana, where she loved to work outside in her garden. Some of her fondest memories were vacationing with her family at the beach, walking the shores, finding shells and enjoying the wildlife.

She is survived by her sister, Amy Sindersine (Victor); daughter, Esther Weldon-Strippoli (Michael); son, Andrew F. Weldon (Belinda); grandchildren, Alexis “Lexi” Williams, Christian Weldon (Angie), Blake Weldon (Joslyn) and Levi Weldon; great-grandchildren, Harper Weldon, Everette Weldon and Connor Weldon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Swepson Weldon; great-grandchild, Asher Weldon; and parents, Floyd and Corene Morey.

There will be a memorial service at Grace Family Worship Center, 2665 Williamson Way, Shreveport, LA 71118, on June 20, 2023, at 3:00 P.M.
