Elizabeth (Betsi) Mary Connett Walton, 71, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2024, with family by her side. Betsi was born on October 20, 1953, to the late George and Loraine (nee Hickey) Connett.

Betsi was the best mom, wife, sister, grandma, aunt, friend, anyone could ask for. Family and God were her top priorities. Betsi always cherished being with family. Family dinners, hosting holidays and just hanging out with family were her favorite times. Betsi loved the beach and being on trips with her many friends. Most importantly of all, Betsi had a very close relationship with God. Spending time with God everyday was always most important to her.

She loved God and always put him first. Betsi was a registered nurse and spent her career caring for others working at Hoxworth Blood Center, doctors’ offices and Good Sam Hospital.

Betsi is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Michael (Mike) Walton; and her children, Christopher (Shannon), Kelly (Jim) Knapmeyer and Lauren (Chris) Cline. Her grandchildren, Shaylee and Shiloh Walton, Claire, Abby, Ben, Leah Knapmeyer, Elijah and baby Cline. She also survived by her sisters, Barb Riesenberg, Georganne Greenhalgh; brothers, George (Jennifer) Connett and Joe (Tammi) Connett. Brother-in-laws, to Gary (Karen) Walton and Bruce (Jan) Walton). She is also survived by a great number of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. And a friend to many long-time dear people.

A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, November 18, 2024. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Paul Young Funeral Home. Service will start at 1:00 p.m.
