Gerald W. Jones, born on September 3, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, bid farewell to this world on February 1, 2024. He was the only son of Cleatus and Malissa Jones and brother to the late Donneta, who preceded him in death.
Gerald's journey was marked by a deep commitment to God, to family and a life well-lived. He shared 61 years of love and companionship with his devoted wife, Brenda. Together, they created a foundation of enduring strength and unwavering support.
In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by his sister, Kay, and two loving daughters, Cindy and Ny. His memory will continue to shine brightly through the lives of his three cherished grandchildren, Sam, Ben, and Grace.
Gerald was a man of diverse passions and intellectual curiosity. He found joy in woodworking, ham radio communication, a mastery with cars, and the artistry of stained glass. His love for knowledge extended beyond his personal pursuits as he dedicated time to tutoring math at the local elementary school, leaving an indelible impact on young minds.
With academic achievements to match his inquisitive mind, Gerald held a Bachelor of Art in Accounting and additional certifications of FLMA and CLU. His wily and intelligent nature endeared him to friends and family alike.
Gerald's adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively in the United States, visiting all 50 states, and exploring the rich history and culture of Great Britain and Canada.
Known for his love of organization, passion for puzzles, and a quick wit for “pop” jokes, Gerald brought laughter to those around him. His legacy will be remembered not only for his achievements but for the vibrant and humorous spirit he infused into life.
