In Memory Of
Jean Lovelady - Princeton, TX

Jean W. Lovelady of Princeton, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2022, at the age of 63. She was surrounded by family and friends. She was born on March 4, 1958, to Bill and Virginia Whybrew, in Frankfort, Indiana.

Jean married Bob Lovelady on November 24, 1977, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She worked for many years with the Princeton Independent School District and considered those she worked with as an extension of her family. Jean was a devoted member of Sent Church in Plano, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for Jesus shone brightly in everything she did. She shared her love for Jesus through prayer, notes, and songs, often encouraging people to “sing with me.”

Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Bob Lovelady of Princeton, Texas; son, James Lovelady and wife, Erica, of Van Alstyne, Texas; daughter, Heidi Estep and husband, Chris, of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Camdyn Lovelady, Brylee Lovelady, Paxton Lovelady, Hank Estep, and Laurel Jean Estep; and sisters, Joan Selfridge and husband, Dennis, of Mitchell, South Dakota, and Judy Chitwood and husband, Greg, of San Angelo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Sent Church, 3701 Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023. The family will receive family and friends during a visitation the same evening from 5:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m., at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Jean through Operation Christmas Child. Jean loved OCC. Each year she loved going to the store with her grandchildren to pick out items for boxes and packing them together. She loved packing OCC boxes with Sent Church. Bob, Jean, and Camdyn would sign up to help pack boxes at the area distribution center each year. In retirement, Jean was planning to work or volunteer at the OCC distribution center. Each OCC box is another opportunity to reach one more child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
