In Memory Of
Marshall Lewis Perez - Ocala, FL

Marshall Lewis Perez was surrounded by family when he passed away the evening of September 12, 2024, in Ocala, Florida. Marshall battled with cancer, but never stopped fighting as “the warrior”. While we are heartbroken by his departure, we are comforted by the countless memories and laughter he brought into our lives. He had a tee time to get to after all.

Marshall was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 7, 1948, to Earnest Raphael Perez Jr. and Alice Lewis Williams. He grew up and spent his early life in the New Orleans area where he received a bachelor’s degree in management from Loyola University New Orleans while simultaneously starting his career and a family. Marshall relocated to the Northeast where he received his master’s degree from Gannon University in Erie, PA. His career flourished in the medical device field where he spent many years as an executive in sales and marketing. Marshall’s passion was showcased by his credibility and respect from doctors in the operating room. He also made lifelong friends throughout the industry and around the world, who continued to show their support throughout his life’s journey.

Marshall and his “beautiful bride” Geraldine Marshall (Jeri) built cherished memories in New Jersey and Northeast Pennsylvania before relocating to Ocala in 2022. He was a loving brother to the late Ernie Perez (Lindell), Marjorie Perez Ferrer (Joe), Kathleen Perez, Lyn Perez Siebert (Rick), and Meriwether Perez McGee (John Long). Marshall is survived by his three children, Marshall Perez Jr. (Laura), Christine Perez Gast (Mike), and Michael Perez (Katie); and three grandchildren, Sawyer, Logan and Cassidy Perez.

Marshall had a full life of travel and adventure, always finding beauty in the places he visited. He loved to share fond and humorous stories of the antics of family and friends. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and was an avid sports fan, especially baseball. Marshall invested a lot of his time planning trips to bring together family and friends or entertaining at his home. He found joy and pride in seeing his loved ones succeed and mentoring others.

In his last few days, he shared his approach to life: “Positivity, Joy, Love… it improves your life and the life of those around you” The Warrior.

Memorial service will be held at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel, 6241 SW State Rd 200, Ocala, FL 34476, from 4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
