Praise the Lord! Mary Jean (Gregory) Evoy went to heaven early on Sunday, February 12, 2023, making it in time for the Sabbath, where she is dancing at the feet of Jesus. We hope she’s not stepping on his toes.

With her strong faith, she was active in church and participated in Bible Study Fellowship for over 20 years as both a group member and discussion leader. She loved her Lord, her family, Michigan football, fashion, Paris, puzzles, reading Charles Dicken at Christmas, and of course, her beloved husband, Bill.

We will miss her every day.

Mary Jean was cared for during her last year by earthly angels, the staff of the memory care unit at Clark Retirement. Emmanuel Hospice managed her final days with grace and dignity.

Mary Jean is survived by the love of her life, Bill Evoy; her children, Sharon, David, and Marcia, and their spouses: Twayne, Cindy, and Chad; her grandchildren, Shelby and Cody, Samantha and Anthony, Wesley, Hayley, Ross, Collin, and Jessie; Susan and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded by mother and father, Jennie and LJ Gregory, as well as her brothers and sister: Mack, Carl, and Irene; and her dog, Gretel.

Funeral services for Mary Jean will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Chapel at Calvary Church, 707 East Beltline NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49525.
