Sandra Mae MacLeod - Estero, FL

Sandra Mae MacLeod, 82, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, passed into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ on February 21, 2022.

She was born to the late George and Evelyn (Beck) McCusker, on October 20, 1939, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of four siblings: the late Audrey Mitchell, the late Marilyn Medeiros, and the late Robert McCusker. At a young age, Sandra moved to Weymouth with her family where she graduated from Weymouth High School in 1957.

Sixty-three years ago on February 14, 1959, Valentine’s Day, she married her high school sweetheart Douglas MacLeod of Weymouth, Massachusetts, and together they had four children. She was a devoted Christian and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sandra’s life was a wonderful example of her Christian faith. Years teaching Sunday School, VBS. and AWANA were a part of her life testimony. She was a faithful attendee of New Life Church of Bonita Springs, Florida, and New Testament Church of Cedarville, Massachusetts.

Sandra found much joy in spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also blessed by having so many dear friends whom she loved and enjoyed spending time with here on the South Shore and in Florida.

Sandra leaves behind a personal legacy of four children: Kimberly (Bret) McNutt, Douglas R. (Marianne) MacLeod, Scott A. (Karen) MacLeod, and Timothy J. (Jean-Marie) MacLeod. She leaves behind a second-generation legacy of 17 grandchildren: Heath (Amanda) McNutt, Daniel McNutt, Ryan McNutt (deceased), Joshua (Kali) McNutt, Sam McNutt, Douglas MacLeod Jr. (deceased), Matthew (Caity) MacLeod, Julianne (Andrew) Jablonski, Abigail MacLeod, Ian MacLeod, Alicia (Chris) Little, Zachary MacLeod, Hannah MacLeod, Timothy MacLeod Jr., Cameron MacLeod, Brandon MacLeod, and Duncan MacLeod. She also leaves a third-generation legacy of 10 great grandchildren: Isabella McNutt, Connor McNutt, Emily McNutt, Rachael McNutt, Elizabeth Mae McNutt, Sara McNutt, Emerson Little, Avery Little, Jonathan McNutt, and Maisie Jane Jablonski.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home in Bourne, Massachusetts. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Testament Church in Cedarville, Massachusetts. Following the service, a burial will be held at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
