Thomas Alan Neve of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on May 2, 2021, from a battle with brain cancer. A resident of Cullman, Alabama, since February 2021, Tom spent 2004–2020 in Harvest, Alabama. Previously, he lived in Los Osos, California, where he and his wife Kathleen raised their two daughters.
Tom was a retired bank manager and co-vice president of Mid State Bank who loved to serve his community and was involved in church, Kiwanis, and sportsmen clubs. He enjoyed singing, managing finances for his church, organizing community events, and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger and enjoyed bringing smiles to those around him. Tom loved the Lord and was assured of his salvation, making sure to ask others about their own, hoping to be able to join everyone he loved in heaven.
On June 22, 1968, after serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, Tom married Kathleen Judd, a librarian, in Garden Grove, California. They had two daughters, Kristin and Kelly, whom he loved very much. Tom did everything to make sure that his wife and daughters had the best lives possible.
Thomas Alan Neve is survived by his wife, Kathleen Neve; his sister Kay Yaeman (78 years old), Las Vegas, Nevada; his oldest daughter Kristin Neve (50 years old), Cullman, Alabama; his youngest daughter Kelly Deiss (47 years old), Harvest, Alabama; his son-in-law the Rev. William (Bill) Deiss (56 years old), Harvest, Alabama; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Alan Neve (27 years old), Cullman, Alabama; Jessie Nelson (26 years old), Las Cruces, New Mexico, (Charlie Nelson); Jordan Deiss (24 years old) Madison, Alabama, (Crystal Deiss); Randall Deiss (24 years old), Birmingham, Alabama; and Grace Fletcher (21 years old), Harvest, Alabama. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him, both in California and in Alabama.
