Afghan families are ready to be welcomed into our communities. Will your church step up and help them as they make their new home here among us?
Tens of thousands of Afghans were forced to flee their homeland this summer as the country fell to the Taliban's brutal regime. Leaving everything behind, these desperate people were evacuated on hurried flights and now await resettlement here in the United States.
This is a significant commitment, but we also believe it is an incredible opportunity for the church to demonstrate Christ's love and compassion, just as the Good Samaritan did. The church should be able to do the best job at helping our neighbor, even those very different from us, walk through this journey.
Please prayerfully consider this special opportunity to embrace evacuees who have come to our doorstep. You can sponsor a family and support them as they rebuild their lives in America: help them find housing, provide transportation, connect children to healthy activities, offer advice on navigating a new culture—the possibilities are endless!
