- Two-year-old Yernar, along with 57 other children, received lifesaving heart surgery this year through our Children’s Heart Project.
- Samaritan's Purse provided clean water to some of the 1 million South Sudanese refugees in Uganda.
- We praise God that 92 military couples rededicated their marriages to the Lord this year through Operation Heal Our Patriots, our project which ministers to wounded veterans and their spouses.
- Retired Army Sergeant Vernon Mitchell and his wife Denise were among 100 individuals baptized in Alaska through Operation Our Patriots.
- Receiving chickens from Samaritan's Purse has enabled Adelaide to feed her family and to earn additional income.
- Children in Tanzania and more than 100 countries were excited to receive Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts this year. These gifts opened doors for the Gospel to be shared with millions.
- Boys and girls in Vietnam show everyone their favorite item in their Operation Christmas Child shoebox. These children from a poor farming community were delighted to receive such gifts.
- These Operation Christmas Child shoebox recipients just graduated from The Greatest Journey. The 12-lesson discipleship course helps children grow in faith and learn to share Jesus Christ with others.
- Over 10,000 volunteers served with Samaritan's Purse after Hurricane Harvey ripped through southeastern Texas. More than 500 people placed their faith in Christ during our response.
- Franklin Graham comforts Margarita Cruz Saldierna, whose home was flooded by Hurricane Harvey. Later, on Thanksgiving Day, she was able to move back into her home, fully rehabilitated by Samaritan's Purse.
- Vice President Mike Pence traveled to our base of operations in Rockport, Texas, to see Hurricane Harvey's devastation. He worked hard alongside our staff and volunteers.
- Our DC-8 aircraft made dozens of trips from North Carolina to the Caribbean to bring relief supplies to victims of hurricanes Irma and Maria.
- In the aftermath of hurricanes Irma and Maria we distributed relief supplies in Jesus' Name on hard-hit Caribbean islands including Puerto Rico, Dominica, St. Martin, Antigua and Barbuda, and the Turks and Caicos.
- Franklin Graham was on the ground in Puerto Rico leading our response efforts following Hurricane Maria.
- Our helicopter made hundreds of flights to transport relief supplies and personnel throughout Puerto Rico. Hurricane victims in remote communities still needed water filters (pictured) months after the storm hit.
- This November church leaders and Samaritan's Purse staff celebrated 52 churches rebuilt throughout Niger. In January 2015 churches were burned during Muslim rioting, and we've been helping congregations rebuild ever since.
- Samaritan's Purse doctors provided cataracts surgeries for 84 people, including Ebola survivors, in Liberia. The surgeries were done at ELWA Hospital outside of Monrovia.
- Pauline Anthony, a doctor serving with Samaritan's Purse, cares for a Rohingya patient at a partner hospital in Bangladesh. Many Rohingya refugees are in desperate need of medical care.
- Dr. Richard Slovek, an orthopedic surgeon, served with World Medical Mission at Soddo Christian Hospital in Ethiopia. More than 600 medical professionals volunteered on short-term assignments at overseas mission hospitals this year.
- Samaritan's Purse mounted a relief response to the central highlands of Vietnam after historic flooding devastated villages in the wake of Typhoon Damrey.
- We continued rebuilding homes for people in Nepal's remote areas after deadly earthquakes in 2015 wiped out entire villages and killed more than 8,000 people.
