Our U.S. Disaster Relief teams are providing relief to Texas communities hit by catastrophic flooding.
Update (Sept. 27): Samaritan’s Purse continues work in Vidor and Winnie, Texas. In Vidor, we have our Team Patriot volunteers serving for the first time on a disaster relief mission. Team Patriot is a brand-new initiative that offers Operation Heal Our Patriots couples—wounded military veterans and their spouses—an opportunity to serve U.S. homeowners after a natural disaster. See the first three photos in our slide presentation below.

Samaritan’s Purse staff and our volunteer teams are on the ground in southeast Texas to serve suffering communities devastated by recent flooding. Two Disaster Relief Units—tractor trailers filled with tools and supplies—have also been deployed to facilitate our response.
Remnants of Tropical Storm Imelda brought up to 40 inches of rain to regions north and east of Houston—a deadly deluge that affected some areas hit by similar floods during Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
Samaritan’s Purse is working in Jesus’ Name in Vidor, which is just northeast of the city of Beaumont, and in Winnie, which lies to the southwest. Our relief bases are Harmony Baptist Church in Vidor and First Baptist Church Winnie.
“We are responding in Jesus’ name to bring physical relief and hope to hurting families—many who were affected by Hurricane Harvey just two years ago,” said Franklin Graham, el Presidente de Samaritan's Purse.. “Please pray for those affected and especially those who have lost loved ones.”

Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains will join us on this deployment.
Samaritan’s Purse North American Ministries has responded to flooding in Texas many times. Continuing our work after Hurricane Harvey, we also have an ongoing rebuild effort in the Houston area (Pearland) y en Rockport, helping hundreds of residents rebuild and repair storm-damaged homes.
Please pray for residents recovering from this storm, for local government officials, and for our teams on the ground.
