Thanking God for a New Home in Burnsville

A North Carolina woman praises God for her new mobile home provided by Samaritan’s Purse.

Lashasta Johnson’s Burnsville, North Carolina, home was unlivable after Hurricane Helene flung a tree through the roof and mold quickly spread through the dwelling due to significant water damage. She didn’t know what to do or who to turn to. Thankfully, she soon came into contact with Samaritan’s Purse and was quickly approved for a new mobile home.

Recently, she was given the keys and moved in.

“I got a new room. I got a new bed. We’re not in mold anymore,” Lashasta said as she walked through the home for the first time after it was dedicated to the Lord by our staff and volunteers.

“Thank you for all the volunteers, thank you for everybody that made this possible,” she said. “And thank you Lord.”

Please continue to pray for those still recovering from Hurricane Helene’s wrath in September 2024 and for our rebuild teams as they serve in Jesus’ Name. To learn more about how to volunteer with U.S. Disaster Relief and Rebuild.
