In October, 2022, the Samaritan's Purse team performed 442 cataract surgeries in a week. We praise God that many patients not only received physical sight but also spiritual sight.

Vietnam, 2021
Samaritan's Purse equips vulnerable households with livelihood assets, such as livestock, along with skills needed to generate income and move towards economic stability. In the past three years alone, this project has assisted 1,500 people across the country.

In 2021, Samaritan's Purse provided water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programming to communities across 15 countries—coupling health and hygiene education with the construction of more than 2,000 latrines and nearly 1,200 clean water points constructed or repaired. These clean water programs provided safe drinking water for more than 380,000 people worldwide in impoverished communities, refugee camps and schools.

Around the world, Samaritan's Purse is conducting projects to promote sustainable development through avenues such as agriculture. In 2021 alone, the ministry trained over 60,000 individuals in improved agriculture practices across 11 countries.

Samaritan's Purse doctor Ben Roberts assesses a cataract patient in South Sudan. Since the program began in 2017, medical staff have performed more than 3,700 cataract surgeries in Liberia, Mexico, and South Sudan.

Five million Venezuelans have fled their homeland over the past several years due to hunger, a collapsing healthcare system, and violence. Since 2018, Samaritan's Purse has provided relief to hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan migrants seeking a new life in Colombia through our shelter facilities, food distributions, prenatal health services to migrant women, and primary health services through our mobile medical unit—all free of charge and all in Jesus' Name.

Samaritan's Purse has been actively partnering with families in need across numerous countries to assist them with learning new trades and skills while also supplying them with start-up materials to operate their own businesses.

For many around the world, being visually impaired with cataracts is not only physically debilitating, but also socially isolating. Samaritan's Purse has provided thousands of life-changing cataract surgeries for individuals around the world who have limited access to essential medical care.

Since 2007, Samaritan's Purse has constructed 40 school buildings for rural students ranging from preschool to secondary school throughout Cambodia. Through this program, we have trained faculty and staff within schools on improved education practices along with giving over 6,300 children the opportunity to receive a quality education.
