Betty Ann Fricke Morris, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 16, 2024.
One of 12 kids from Bay St. Louis, Betty moved to New Orleans as a young adult to begin her career at the Whitney National Bank. It was through a Whitney friend; she met the love of her life Ray. After marrying and having her first child, she gave up her career to devote her life to her three daughters. She loved to bowl, play cards, and sew, but most of all she loved being a wife and mother.
After her girls were older, she returned to the Whitney part-time until retiring to take care of her sick husband. She always put others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Morris, and her grandson, Nicholas Callia. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Trisha and Darren Vogt, Trudy and Christopher Callia, and Tracie and Richard Schaefer, Jr.
Loving grandmother, "Mimi", to Cameron Vogt, Erin Vogt, Amanda Callia, Emily Callia, Michael Callia, Rexford Schaefer, and Raegan Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John “Buddy” and Leonie Fricke; her siblings and in-laws, John C. Fricke, Jr. (Clara), Ronald L. Fricke (Ruth), Irene F. Cuevas (Ernie), Shirley F. Davis, Leroy Fricke, James Fricke and sister-in law, Mickie.
She is survived by her siblings and in-laws, Robert L. "Bob" Fricke, Guy D. Fricke (Yolanda) Beverly F. Ladner (EJ) Linda F. Thornton (Jim) and C.J. Ladner (Keith).
