Dale Erwin Medley, 88, of Sumrall, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022, after a short illness. Dale was born February 8, 1934, in Toronto, Ohio.
Dale proudly served as an Air Force officer and retired after a 20 year career with the rank of Major. He retired from a second career of 20 years as plant manager for Air Products. Dale was an amazing husband, father, grandpap, and friend who was admired by all who knew him. His warmth and kindness will serve as his legacy and he will be very missed.
Surviving Dale is his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Weixel Medley, of Sumrall, Mississippi; a son, Dale Medley of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Janet Thompson (Jay) and Lois Bilby (Chris) of Willis, Texas; five grandchildren, Christopher Berkowitz (Amanda), Carly Berkowitz, Lauren Sage (Mike), Michelle Bilby, and Jennifer Kabanek (Luke); three great-grandchildren, Brantley, Bailey, and Blakely Berkowitz; his sister, Phyllis Taylor (Paul) of East Liverpool, Ohio; and Jetta his beloved dog.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Carllee Pierce Medley; his parents, William and Etta Medley; and his brother, Roger Medley.
Friends and family are cordially invited to a graveside ceremony at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531, on October 20, at 12:15 p.m. Following the ceremony, friends and family are invited to a reception at the American Legion, 701 Green Meadow Road, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520.
