Frances Boyles - Winston Salem, NC

Mrs. Lila Frances Elledge Boyles, 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her home in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Born September 19, 1935, in Wilkes County, North Carolina, Frances was the daughter of the late Ransom McKinley Elledge and Alice Monday Elledge.

Frances attended college in High Point, North Carolina. Frances was a longtime resident of Winston Salem, North Carolina. Prior to that, she lived in Raleigh, Morganton, and Wilkes County, North Carolina. Frances retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company. Frances’ greatest joys in life were spending time with her family, growing flowers and vegetables in her yard, and keeping up with current events and news. She had a big heart and always made sure her family came first.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul Douglas Boyles, Sr.; son, Gabriel Boyles; brothers, Ransom Kenneth Elledge, Kermit Elledge, and Rufus Elledge; sister, Martha (Sue) Lucille Elledge Chambers; and grandson, Michael Keith Boyles.

Frances is survived by her children, Paul Douglas Boyles, Jr., Carolyn Jean Boyles, and Benjamin McKinley Boyles; her siblings, Richard Douglas Elledge, Barbara Ann Elledge Miles, Billie Jean Elledge Stamp, and Ellie Vonne Elledge Cox; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Twin City Bible Church in Winston Salem, at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 5, 2022. A private family graveside service will take place at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton, North Carolina, 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 6, 2022.
