In Memory Of
Sue Reece - Lubbock, TX

Sue, 83, of Lubbock joined her Lord and Savior and was reunited with the love of her life on Monday, February 28, 2023. One day before her 84th birthday.

Sue was born March 1, 1939, in Lovington, New Mexico, to Dorwin and Wilma Tatum. She graduated from Lovington High School in 1959. Later that year, on July 3, 1959, she married Glenn Reece. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2011. They shared 53 wonderful years together. Still, she longed for the day that they could be together again. Her greatest joys were found serving alongside Glenn as he pastored many Baptist churches throughout Texas. Sue was the definition of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was a faithful member of Southcrest Baptist Church where she attended the Women’s I Sunday School Class.

Spending time with her family was her favorite past time. She often bragged of the fact that all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Her legacy runs strong!

Survivors include her children, Darrell (Raeline) Reece of Post, Texas, Tammy (Kelly) Mason of Lubbock, Texas, Belinda Reece of Levelland, Texas, Stephen (Amy) Reece of Wolfforth, Texas. One Sister ,Martha (Clyde) Baker of Early, Texas; and one brother, Duane Tatum (Sylvia) of Blue Grass, Iowa. Sister-in-law, Pat (Don) Teltschik of Dickenson, Texas; brother-in-law, Eddie (Patti) Reece of Texas City, Texas. Eight grandchildren, Rachel (Craig) Roberson, Sarah (Aaron) Morris, Aaron (Shawn) Gray, Cody Reece, Blaine (Lili) Reece, Jadin Reece, Madison and Tatum Reece; and 13 great-grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Dorwil Tatum.

Sue loved children and every year looked forward to participating in Operation Christmas Child.
