Franklin Graham joined Fox News host Greta Van Susteren and her husband, John Coale, on Saturday to give Christmas presents to children at the Greta Home and Academy, the orphanage and school in Haiti constructed and operated by Samaritan’s Purse.
The gifts were provided by Van Susteren. Samaritan’s Purse staff members shopped for the presents, and wrapped them in Haiti after they cleared customs.
Van Susteren is one of America’s most influential news commentators. Since 2002, she has hosted “On the Record” on the Fox News Channel, which is the highest-rated cable news program in its time slot. Because of her advocacy on behalf of the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake in December 2010, the orphanage constructed and supported by Samaritan’s Purse is named in her honor.
Van Susteren has accompanied Graham on several trips. She has reported on Samaritan’s Purse work in northern Iraq, North Korea, South Sudan, Haiti, and Alaska.
