"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18). Samaritan’s Purse is sharing this promise with people who have endured unthinkable trauma—victims of ISIS, survivors of the Ebola epidemic, and those who lost loved ones to COVID-19. We respond in the aftermath of crisis situations to meet urgent physical needs, but those who survive are left grieving and suffer emotional and spiritual wounds that can only be healed through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. So, we work with local churches to offer Biblical counseling, spiritual care, and other support. Your gift will equip us to care for people traumatized by war, epidemics, disasters, or abuse.
