The small town of Tansen is set on a hillside of the Southern Himalayas in central Nepal. Tansen Mission Hospital was started in this remote area as a clinic nearly 60 years ago and now provides inpatient treatment to more than 11,300 people per year.
Tansen Hospital has been receiving patients from across Nepal and northern India for nearly 60 years.
Pernilla Ardeby is a pediatric nurse educator from Sweden who helps coordinate the Pediatric Nursing Course at the hospital.
Dr. Jessica Westerholm is serving as a general surgeon at Tansen through the Post-Residenty Program of Samaritan’s Purse.
Dr. Westerholm serves as a general surgeon, working alongside a team of national and international physicians.
Patients are welcome to visit the hospital chapel, where members of the Pastoral Care Team offer encouragement and share the Gospel.
