Ends of the Earth

“Jesus Christ took our sins and He died on the cross, and then on the third day, God in heaven said it’s enough, and He raised His Son to life. This is the Good News, and we’ve got a responsibility to take this message
to the ends of the earth.

Taking the Gospel to the
Ends of the Earth

Operation Christmas Child is taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth to share God’s love with children in need.

We partner with local churches and volunteers in more than 170 countries, and train and equip them to proclaim the Good News using gift-filled shoeboxes, often in locations that are hostile to the Gospel, in regions where whole people groups are yet unreached, and on hundreds of remote Pacific islands. Some of our newest initiatives include translating Gospel materials into minor languages, using audio translations where there is no written language, and providing Braille resources for blind and visually impaired children.

“We go to great lengths, great effort to take these boxes to children in the most remote parts of the world.” — Franklin Graham

Hard-to-Reach Areas

Due to cultural, religious, or customs issues, it is difficult to deliver gift-filled shoeboxes in a number of nations around the world. But we partner with passionate local volunteers who are committed to pray for these areas. And your prayerfully packed boxes, including those sent through Build a Shoebox Online, provide a creative way for us and our ministry partners in these locations to share the Gospel in a culturally sensitive way.

Unreached People Groups

In remote jungles, mountain valleys, and dense urban centers, there are millions who have never heard the Name of Jesus Christ. Many ethnic groups, large and small, remain unreached with the Gospel. Samaritan’s Purse has delivered shoebox gifts and the Good News to 350 unreached people groups so far, with plans to reach a total of 1,000 by 2028.

Pacific Islands

Samaritan’s Purse is going across the Pacific, bringing great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to boys and girls on more than 1,000 islands through Operation Christmas Child. We plan to share the love of Christ with over 500,000 children in the Pacific Islands as local churches lead shoebox outreach events.
